AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Work Schedule:
Dayshift; Monday - Friday - may be required to work outside normal tour of duty such as evenings, weekends, holidays for emergencies and facility/patient needs.
Position Description Title/PD#:
20211-AIncumbent is responsible for the operation, cleanliness, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and heating system and all other associated equipment.
Work includes service calls, log tours, preventive maintenance inspections, major and minor repairs, removal of obsolete equipment and installation of new equipment and systems.
Daily checks are made for maintenance and minor repairs such as adding oils, refrigerants, changing dryers, repairing controls and recalibration and/or replacement.
Will use blueprints, sketches, manufacturer's handbooks and technical manuals to plan and lay out projects.
Will prepare requests for parts, materials and operating supplies for jobs.
Uses electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic control, and zone charts in conjunction with meters, gauges and computer generated data to determine adjustments or changing load requirements.
Must be able to thread and install pipe; cut, solder, brass tubing; charge or purge refrigeration and air systems; adjust heating systems; repair and replace pumps, clean and repair heat exchangers; remove and replace bearing, rings, valves, gaskets and other similar parts.
Most work will be performed independently under the direction of the A/C Mechanic Work Leader and M&O Shop Supervisor.
More complex projects may require assistance and guidance from other workers and supervisors.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
