$2,160-$2,520/week We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Huntington, WV.
As an ICU nurse, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients.
This position offers day shifts with a self-scheduling system, allowing you to choose shifts based on availability.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in the ICU, ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality care.
Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and emergencies, providing appropriate interventions.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding to any abnormalities.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and caregivers, providing education and emotional support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Adhere to established protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of West Virginia.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior experience in critical care settings, especially in an ICU.
Proficiency in using Cerner electronic medical records system is highly preferred.
Travel nursing experience is a plus.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
